Pronunciation Practice and Key Structures are also emphasized, along with situation-based conversations and paragraphs. This series provides instruction for both oral and written Chinese. Big Book Chinese is a set of textbook designed for children in grades K-2 to learn Chinese through stories and activities. This series consists of three levels, each accompanied by 5 Big Books, 5 Small Books, a Workbook, an Activity Guide, a CD, and a CD-ROM. Each Big Book stands as a unit, and presents a story for the teacher to use in class. The Small Book contains the same story as its corresponding Big Book for the student to use. The Workbook and the Activity Guide cover all units for the level, including worksheets, activities, songs, and raps that are developed around the stories.
